Skunk Train Packages
From May 29 thru September 6, 2010, we invite you to see our gorgeous county while experiencing Rail travel at its finest. Come Ride the Skunk Train in its natural habitat!
Departing from Willits this is a 3.5 hour round trip on our vintage rail cruiser. As you depart Willits you begin the steep ascent to the summit at 1,740 feet. Traveling through tunnel #2, you begin the descent into the Noyo River Canyon. In one spot the vintage rail cruiser travels 8.5 miles to cover a straight-line distrance of less than one mile.
Our BBQ Package is a unique way to enjoy the train. A 4.5 hour evening ride in the redwoods with a delicious barbecue dinner and live entertainment. Saturday nights only.

Wine & Mushroom Festival Package
We have two delightful packages that are all part of the Wine & Mushroom Festival in Mendocino County. Our 1st Package is for November 5, 6, 2010 for two great events! Friday starts with a historical tour of Ridgewood Ranch - home of the lengendary Seabiscuit - the famous racehorse. Following this tour is a Wine & Mushroom Reception at the Mendocino County Museum. The following day, Saturday, Hop Aboard the Frank R Howard Foundation Wine & Mushroom Train. Passengers will embark on a glorious train ride through the Redwoods to Camp Mendocino. Guests will be invited to taste Mendocino County Wines and enjoy a variety of mushroom dishes during the Mushroom Cook-off Contest. Entertainment, mushroom experts, celebrity chefs and a Silent Auction showcasing Mendocino County lodgings, restaurants and artwork.
Our Weekend to Remember Package includes two night's lodging in your choice of Traditional, Premium or Custom Room and tickets to the events you would like to attend. Book early as this event is going to be sold out quickly!
Our second Package is for the following weekend, November 12, 13, 2010 and features the 101 Wine Country Treasure Hunt! The Treasure Hunt will begin when you pick up your map at Barra of Mendocino or Parducci Wine Cellars. You will gather clues along the way as you visit participating wineries in 101 Wine Country, sample their wines, savor their food pairings and be on your way to the grand finale at Magnanimous Wines at Campovida where a number of wineries will be on hand to pour their wines while you wait for the results of the drawing to win fabulous prizes. Later that evening, enjoy one of the tasting dinners followed by our own private "Tasty Treasures" sampling of ports, sherry's and mushroom desserts!
