Our Inn

First, the name.  Many people wonder how to say “Baechtel.”  We hear many versions such as ”Beach tel” or “Bach tel;” however, it is actually pronounced “Beck tel”.  We are named for the Baechtel Creek which runs right behind our property.

Baechtel Creek Inn welcomed our first guests in April of 1991. We are a family owned business that stumbled into the hotel business by accident and have stayed because of you, our guests. In 2004 we saw the need for Day Spa services in Mendocino County and opened The Spa @ Baechtel Creek Inn. We chose Eminence Organic Skin Care because it best reflected the natural organic spirit of our County. After we added The Spa, we completely rennovated our rooms to give our guests a more personalized travel experience. We feel like we are a work in progress, always seeking ways to improve and update our look and feel.

In October 2008, Baechtel Creek Inn became a proud member of Choice Hotel’s Ascend Collection. The Ascend Collection is Choice Hotel’s newest network of historic, boutique or unique hotels. We share a passion for delivering attentive service to our guests seeking a more experiential, individualized travel experience that gives them a sense of local flavor.

Our hotel is nestled on a quiet creek-side setting, one turn off Hwy 101,  and features The Spa @ Baechtel Creek,’ open daily and offering a chance to  relax with a selection of treatments. Hotel amenities include free hot breakfast, free high-speed WIFI , a gift shop, an outdoor heated pool and hot tub and satellite television.

We are pleased to offer our guests a choice of Traditional, Premium or Custom Rooms.
