Abundant swimming holes exist along the Mainstem and the Middle Fork, due east and just north of Willits. Seasonal kayaking can be arranged nearby from Dos Rios to Alderpoint.
Or take a ride on Mendocino County's most famous tourist attraction - the Skunk Train! A special train they are offering on certain dates is The Highball Express! As the train winds through the towering redwoods you can indulge in local sips and noshes, available for purchase. Then a stop at Crowley, giving you plenty of time to explore the grounds, soak in the outdoors and immerse yourself in nature. Head up to Brooktrails Golf Course for a round of golf in one of the most serene and beautiful golf courses around! They also have a large Disc Golf course and a clubhouse to stop and refresh yourself!
If Hiking is your pleasure - we have excellent choices for you right here in Willits - old logging trails restored into hiking trails which are cool and quiet!
Or you might prefer to hang out at our pool, which borders the creek and enjoy our back yard creekside setting! Read, swim, soak up the sun!
In the evening there are so many restaurant choices - yes right here in Willits! Our great staff would be happy to give you ideas for dinner and drinks, or enjoy a movie at our local movie theater, or ..... the possibilities are endless.
